Thankfulness

The breeze is blowing outside and it's almost 75 degrees but we might get snow for Thanksgiving. That's Kentucky weather for ya'.

We had a good lesson Sunday morning about thanksfulness and I've been thinking about what I would like to leave on my blog this week - obviously something about giving thanks. Here's a link to the MP3 file of that lesson and the RealPlayer file.

Here's one of the songs we sang in our worship service Sunday:

Count Your Blessings

When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Count your blessings name them one by one,
Count your blessings see what God hath done,
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings see what God hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
Count your blessings name them one by one,
Count your blessings see what God hath done,
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings see what God hath done.

So, amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all,
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

Count your blessings name them one by one,
Count your blessings see what God hath done,
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings see what God hath done.

So, I pray you take the time to listen to the audio lessons I've linked, and I pray you have a peaceful, loving and comforting Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

I leave you with a list of some of the things for which I am thankful:

1. I am thankful there is a God and He is in control of all things and most of all that He allowed me to live long enough to find Him.
2. I am thankful for the most perfect husband anyone could ever have. Who takes the time to know how to love me.
3. I am thankful for my children and for all the lessons God teaches me through them.
4. I am thankful for those in my circle of friends who give of themselves to the benefit of others.
5. I am thankful for my blogger friends - for their comedy, their ideas, their many visits that give me a lift each day.
6. I am thankful to hear, see, touch, taste and smell all God has to offer me.
7. I am thankful I've made it through 41 years of my life.
8. I am thankful for my freedom.
9. I am thankful to have so many things for which to be thankful that I couldn't possibly list them.

Be Safe
Be Thankful

No WAY! I'm sure I would have too if I had spent some time outside doing something other than getting in and out of my van.
