Interesting question. I suppose it's the same sort of parent who keeps the video camera running and chuckles patiently while Junior coats the living room walls and furniture with chocolate sauce. I wonder about that every time I watch one of those “funniest videos” shows.
Either I have a lot lower tolerance for mess and destruction than the average parent, or they're thinking of the prize money.
You should see the pictures I took of the "clean up." They stood in the yard in their unmentionables while HoneyDoo sprayed them down with the water hose.
As long as the mess stays outside and someone else cleans it up I can deal. You notice they are playing in a "dirt box" not a "sand box." I'm not a fan of sand. Dirt washes away but sand just keeps on comin'.

at first i would be nervous then want to get in on all the muddyfuddyfun!
I got a little worried when the mud appeared in the hair.
mmm...makes me hungry for som emud pies...sigh.
