Contradictions

How is it possible that the US government feels it's okay to make a big stink about corporate executives being allowed to decide on their own pay increases/bonuses when the government does the EXACT same thing by voting their own pay increases? Not that I think it's okay what has been going on lately but COME ON! It's like me telling my kids not to smoke while I'm smoking a pack a day!

The hypocrisy is astounding, isn’t it?
Then again, t’is the same in England. The MP expense scandal has ruffled more than a few feathers and lots of people in government are pointing fingers and loudly shouting about how outrageous it all is and how people fiddling expenses should be sacked, while trying to hide their own expense fiddling at the same time.

It’s so bloody ridiculous that I’d laugh if there weren’t so many people in debt and in need and struggling to pay the bills…

Our government is hopelessly broken and dysfunctional. It's a wonder anything gets done.
