The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing, Ecc. 1:8

In my casual consumption of the inauguration yesterday between caring for a friend, parenting, and basketball practice, I came away feeling the same as I have in the past every time I hear Barak Obama speak - I can see why so many are caught up in "hearing" him and "seeing" him - he is a very good speaker/deliverer of words.

I caught a bit of a small speech last night but couldn't find it on the internet to get it in order to post a portion verbatim but I'll give my paraphrase - or at least what my ears heard. He was talking about young people all around the world and them thinking some new thing. All I could think about was this:

9 That which has been is what will be,
That which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun.
10 Is there anything of which it may be said, "See, this is new"?
It has already been in ancient times before us.
11 There is no remembrance of former things,
Nor will there be any remembrance
of things that are to come
By those who will come after.
Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 NKJV
