From Our House to Yours
Wishing all of you a happy and safe Christmas.
HubbaDood wants a real bow and arrow and HubbaDette wants Farley. You think Santa's gonna comply? We shall soon see.
Remember this? Ribbon Candy? My grandmother always had this at Christmas time. Funky-Redhead sent a box of this to my house via DadMan and it has been so much fun for us. I have to say my favorite is the red - I can't figure out if it tastes like wax candy or teaberry gum (my favorite gum by the way). Everyone needs a box of Sevigney's Thin Ribbon Candy - yummy and fun!
Be safe and have fun!

Oh, man. I haven't seen a bowl of ribbon candy since I was about five years old (yes, we had electricity then). One of my grand-aunts on my dad's mom's side used to have it.
Oh, and the flavor of the red candy is probably anis (note the spelling). Very popular in German baking and Sambuca.
Or maybe clove.
I'm going now.
I remember both ribbon candy and Teaberry gum! *Smile*
Lovely picture of the kidlets!
*Merry Christmas*
Yes, and anise is also spelled that way! Anise tastes like licorice. I went to the store the other day to buy some fennel and they could not ring it up because it was under "anise".
I love all the black jelly beans. Must get ribbon candy!
Cute children!
Badoozer - Only one piece was broke quite a bit. The kids enjoyed crunching on it.
Foo - You should get a box. Go get one right now!
Mama - I think I want some teaberry gum for Christmas.
R - I always have fennel in my cabinet. It's one of the main ingredients in my meatballs.
Wow. They look freakishly beautiful and neat.
Those kids need some MUD!
...Just kidding. I'm just jealous that *I* didn't look that good when I was a kid.
;-)
Merry Christmas to the Hubba Brood!
Much love,
:-)

I love Ribbon candy...
in the old days when I was a Produce Mgr. we had to wrap Christmas candy by the pallet for to sell.
I believe Santa is still real in Kentucky....
What a beautiful card. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Merry Christmas to you and the family, Anne. Have a great one!
