Man... as much weird stuff as I post on my blog, and I never get any interesting search terms. I mostly get people trying to find solutions for their vehicles' ignition problems.

I was bemused at "mother of pearl sandals" until I remembered that I'd actually used that phrase in one of the early posts.

Hey there!

Wow. Poor you. Mother's with young kids don't tend to "vacation" with everyone else, unfortunately. They tend to be in charge of everything and have to do everything.

Which is why I'm taking MY mother on holiday next year. Nothing special, a week in Wales, but Mike and I will be financing, organising, packing, cooking and taking care of everything so that she doesn't have to. The only thing she will HAVE to do is drive, and that's only because Mike's car isn't quite big enough and we can't afford to be added on to her insurance...

Anyway, the pictures were great, and I'll catch up on the rest of your posts tomorrow.

It's nice to be back and reading Blogs again. It's been a horrib;e fortnight and catching up with all of my Blogging Friends has really helped cheer me up.

:-)

*hugs* xxx

Anne,
I missed having a “Christian Blog” so I started one today. Its about my struggles mostly because that’s what my spiritual life feels like – a huge battle, and I don’t know who’s winning. I hope you stop by to visit: Prodigal Daughter
the link is: http://barbara007.typepad.com/prodigal_daughter/

It's amazing what people will search for. Did you see the ones I recently had?

What dumbfounds me is the x-rated searches that somehow land on my blog. Weird.

Cach - That's pretty good.

Aunti J - You think? I just thought that was pretty funny.

Foo - I'm surprised you don't get searches about "dreams" - wierd dreams.

Alice - That sounds like it's going to be a great trip for your mom. Can't wait til my kids take ME on vacation. By the way, I think I'm going to have to look up the word "fortnight".

Barbara - I will try to get over there to visit.

Badoozer - I was wondering if that was the stalking X.

Fred - I did check out your list. That's what prompted my post (I can't think of my own ideas ya know?)

58 - It IS pretty interesting to see what people search for.

Anne; "fortnight" means two weeks, or fourteen days.

Save you looking it up.

Hope all is still going well, and just to let you know, I completely agreed with your rant. I ranted about something similar a while back, although I can't remember whether it was a Blog post or a comment.

If it was the former I'll seek it out for you. If the latter, just know that it was the powers that be telling parishioners at the church my mother attends that they weren't really "part of the church" (and henceforth not really part of "GOD") unless they gave X amount of cash.

Ooh, I was so mad...

Thanks for that "fortnight" information - I hadn't taken the time yet.

As for giving - I believe we are suppose to give as we have prospered:

1 Corinthians 16:1-3 "Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: 2 On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come." NKJV

I believe each individual has to come up with what they believe is proper to give from their own prosperity. It comes down to this:

2 Corinthians 9:7 "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." NKJV

I believe mankind tries to use this for his own gain.
