On the Homefront

Yes, The HubbaDoos are still alive but not without a few bumps and bruises. The HubbaDette fell from The Hubbs' (HubbaDad) favorite chair (the nasty Lazyboy pictured at left) and hit her chin on the brick hearth - she fell between the chair and the fireplace. I'm surprised she didnt' break her jaw. She has such a beautiful chin with a perfect dimple in the middle. Now it's all bloody and bruised. I tried to get a good photo of it but this is all the cheezy camera could do for me. If you look close you can see her grape juice mustache.

After a good nap with an ice pack she was soon up and about dancing like an angel through the house with her favorite dress (slip) and clippy shoes.

I am glad she did not require a trip to the emergency room! There would have been lots of screaming and crying. (And the little darling Hubbadette would have cried too!)

We have "shoes that snap" at our house. The only criteria for buying dress shoes is: "do they snap when you walk?" if not they always pass.

OUCH! Little ones seem to handle these type of falls so much better than we as adults do. I'm glad she's back to dancing and smiling!

AJ - I have a cool video of her "tap" dancing in the kitchen in her clippies.

Barbara - thanks! It doesn't take long for kids to bounce back.

Badoozer - you can click on the first picture and enlarge it but not the rest. I'm not sure what it is that I'm doing that causes that.

Holy ouch. Kids bounce back quick don't they. She is a cutie pie. did you put the chair in time out? we use to have to do that if my son would run into something or trip over it, we had to put the item in time out. it was quite funny. One time he couldn't get his shirt off and it got stuck on his head. A while later I looked in the time out corner and he had it sitting there. I asked him why his shirt was in the corner and he said "because ti was naughty and needed a time out." FUNNY :)

Kish - that's too funny. No, we didn't punish the chair but she DID get to eat a popsicle since it busted her lip as well. That calmed her down until HubbaDood told her it was bleeding.

Meow - Everyone is doing fine but had a bout with a fever with HubbaDood today.

Kish - I've just been too lazy to change the template. Hang in there! Glad to know you're still hanging around.
